BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 6. The value of Iran's non-oil exports to African countries increased by 6 percent, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Deputy Chairman of the Iranian-African Businessmen's Club Rouhollah Latifi said on social media, Trend reports.

Latifi said that Iran exported a total of 2.38 million tons of non-oil products worth approximately $1.16 billion to African countries in 11 months.

The official added that Iran’s goods were exported to 45 out of 54 countries of the African continent for the reporting period.

According to him, Iran mainly exported non-oil products worth $304 million to the Republic of South Africa, worth $189 million to Mozambique, worth $156 million to Ghana, worth $142 million to Sudan and worth $129 million to Nigeria within 11 months.

Commenting to the total non-oil trade turnover between Iran and African countries, the official noted that the trade turnover amounted to 2.46 million tons worth approximately $1.24 billion during 11 months.

In general, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023). This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
