Iran’s IMIDRO sees increase in phosphate concentrate production of Esfordi Complex

BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 6. The phosphate concentrate production of Iran’s Esfordi Phosphate Industrial & Mineral Complex in Yazd Province increased by 13.8 percent, during the first 10 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through January 20, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Trend reports citing Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO).

In total, the complex produced 56,099 tons of phosphate concentrate in 10 months, while the figure stood at 49,297 tons in the same period last Iranian year.

The Esfordi Phosphate Industrial & Mineral Complex produced 5,305 tons of phosphate concentrate in the 10th month of the current Iranian year alone (December 22, 2022 through January 20, 2023), which is an increase of 21.7 percent compared to 4,357 tons in the same month of the last Iranian year.

At the same time, the complex extracted 244,953 tons of minerals in 10 months, which is a decrease of 10.8 percent compared to 274,629 tons in the same period of the last Iranian year.

Moreover, the complex extracted 21,458 tons of minerals in the 10th month alone. This is an increase of 53.4 percent compared to 13,980 tons in the same month of the last Iranian year.

The Esfordi Industrial & Mineral Complex is one of the affiliated companies of the IMIDRO and is located 34 kilometers from Bafq County of Iran’s Yazd Province.
