BAKU, Azerbaijan, March 13. Iran's non-oil exports to the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO), increased by 6.4 percent in value and by 2 percent in volume, during the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through February 19, 2023), compared to the same period last Iranian year, a member of the international and foreign trade committee of the House of Industry, Mine and Trade of Iran Rouhollah Latifi said on social media, Trend reports.
“During 11 months, Iran exported a total of 41.7 million tons of non-oil products worth more than $19.6 billion to SCO member states,” Latifi said.
The official added that Iran exported non-oil products worth about $13.6 billion to China, worth $1.92 billion to India, worth $1.48 billion to Afghanistan, worth $1.31 billion to Pakistan and worth $673 million to Russia within the mentioned period.
Also, Iran exported non-oil products worth $262 million to Uzbekistan, worth $174 million to Kazakhstan, worth $149 million to Tajikistan, worth $64 million to Kyrgyzstan, worth $14 million to Belarus and worth $261,000 to Mongolia in 11 months, Latifi noted.
According to him, the overall non-oil trade turnover between Iran and the member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization amounted to 50.6 million tons worth more than $38.8 billion. This is an increase of 18 percent in value and 3 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
In total, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023). This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
