BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 8. In total, 981,000 tons of non-oil products worth over $276 million were exported through the customs of Iran’s Mazandaran Province in the north of the country, over the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through March 20, 2023), Supervisor of Mazandaran Customs Office Asgar Niknafas told reporters, Trend reports citing ISNA.

Niknafas said that the value of non-oil exports through the province’s customs for the last Iranian year increased by 24 percent compared to the preceding Iranian year.

The customs official added that cement, mining minerals, dairy products, rubber products, kiwi fruit and so on were the main exported goods. The mentioned goods were exported via Noshahr, Amirabad, Sari, Fereidoonkenar and Amol customs of the province.

According to him, the non-oil products were exported to 50 countries, including Iraq, Russia, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Türkiye and the UAE.

As for the total non-oil trade turnover via Mazandaran Province’s customs for the last Iranian year, Niknafas noted that the non-oil trade turnover amounted to approximately 3.66 million tons worth $1.86 billion.

Overall, Iran exported over 111 million tons of non-oil products worth $48.8 billion within the first 11 months of the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022, through February 19, 2023).

This is an increase of 12.2 percent in value, while a decrease of 1 percent in volume compared to the same period in the preceding Iranian year.
