BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 6. In total, 3.29 million tons of goods and 150 passenger cars worth 276 trillion rials (about $6.57 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME), during the last Iranian week (May 27 through June 1, 2023), Trend reports.
The sales have increased by 1.1 percent in value compared to the preceding Iranian week (May 20 through May 25, 2023).
Meanwhile, about 2.87 million tons of goods worth 273 trillion rials (about $6.5 billion) were sold at the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME) in the preceding Iranian week.
Last week, 2.7 million tons of goods and the mentioned number of cars worth 169 trillion rials (about $4.03 billion) were sold in IME's industrial and mining products section.
The main products sold in this section included cement, iron ore, steel, sponge iron, aluminum, copper, lead, molybdenum concentrate and etc.
Furthermore, about 474,000 tons of various oil and petrochemical products worth 87.3 trillion rials (about $2.08 billion) were sold in the oil and petrochemical products section of IME last Iranian week.
The main products sold in this section were bitumen, vacuum bottom, polymers, chemicals, lube cut, base oil, petroleum products, sulfur, etc.
At the same time, 115,000 tons of various products worth 19.6 trillion rials (about $467 million) were sold in the submarket section of the exchange.
