BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 15. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Uzbekistan increased by 39.2 percent in value and 24.6 percent in volume, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.

Overall, the trade turnover between the two countries for 2 months amounted to 64,000 tons worth approximately $53.4 million.

Meanwhile, in the same period of last Iranian year, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Uzbekistan stood at 51,400 tons worth $38.3 million.

Alone in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2023), 35,300 tons of goods worth over $30.1 million were traded between Iran and Uzbekistan.

The main goods traded between the two countries for the reporting period were milk and dairy products, petrochemical products, various types of pipes, cotton, beans, silk, and etc.

In general, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Uzbekistan amounted to more than 445,000 tons worth approximately $362 million for the last Iranian year (March 21, 2022 through March 20, 2023).

This is a decrease of 29.9 percent in value, while a decrease of 42.6 percent in volume compared to the preceding year (March 21, 2021 through March 20, 2022).

In total, Iran's non-oil trade turnover amounted to 25.7 million tons worth approximately $15.5 billion within the first two months of the current Iranian year.
