Iran records sharp growth in imports from Kyrgyzstan

BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 19. Iran's imports from Kyrgyzstan increased by 62.8 percent in value and 4.02 percent in volume, during the first two months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through May 21, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Trend reports.

Iran imported a total of 426 tons of goods worth approximately $734,000 from Kyrgyzstan in 2 months.

Meanwhile, in the same period of last Iranian year, Iran's imports from Kyrgyzstan stood at 410 tons worth approximately $451,000.

During 2 months, Iran imported mainly agricultural products and phosphoric acid from Kyrgyzstan.

Alone in 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2023), Iran imported 170 tons of non-oil products worth approximately $321,000 from Kyrgyzstan.

Overall, Iran imported 4.73 million tons of goods worth $7.94 billion for the first 2 months of the current Iranian year.

This is a decrease of 4.79 percent in value and 8.7 percent in volume compared to the same period last Iranian year.
