Iran’s non-oil exports via Khosravi customs soar

BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 10. Iran’s non-oil exports through the Khosravi customs of Kermanshah Province (western Iran) increased by 65 percent in value and 89 percent in volume during the first four months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through July 22, 2023), compared to the same period in the last year, Director of Iran's Khosravi Customs Office Mehdi Abbasian said, Trend reports.

Abbasian noted that 675,000 tons of non-oil products worth over $250 million were exported via Iran’s Khosravi customs in four months.

He added that the main exported goods were cement, iron, ceramics, marble, stone, rubber materials, etc.

"In addition, 41.900 tons of cargo worth $23.4 million transited through Khosravi customs during 4 months. Cargo transit increased by 20 times in value and 80 times in volume compared to the same period in the last year," the director said.

According to him, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover via Khosravi customs for the reporting period was $960 million.

Overall, Iran exported about 45.8 million tons of non-oil products worth $15.9 billion within the first 4 months of the current Iranian year.

This is a decrease of 7.97 percent in value and an increase of 28.6 percent in volume compared to the same period last year.
