BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 7. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Uzbekistan increased by 36.3 percent in value and 52.5 percent in volume during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.

As reflected in the report of the Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA), the trade turnover between the two countries amounted to 227,000 tons worth $164 million in five months.

In the same period of the previous Iranian year, Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Uzbekistan stood at around 149,000 tons, worth approximately $121 million.

Meanwhile, in the 5th month alone (July 23 through August 22, 2023), 44,000 tons of goods worth $31.9 million were traded between Iran and Uzbekistan.

The main goods traded between the two countries were milk and dairy products, petrochemical products, various types of pipes, cotton, beans, silk, etc.

Overall, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover was over $43.5 billion within the first five months of the current Iranian year.
