BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 10. Iran's non-oil trade turnover with Tajikistan increased by 51.3 percent in value and 62.2 percent in volume, during the first five months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), compared to the same period last year, Trend reports.

The trade turnover between the two countries was around 123,000 tons worth approximately $109 million in 5 months, as was reflected in the statistics of Islamic Republic of Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, Iran’s non-oil trade with Tajikistan stood at about 75,600 tons worth approximately $71.7 million.

In the 5th month alone (July 23 through August 22, 2023), the non-oil trade turnover amounted to 20,400 tons worth $14.3 million.

During 5 months, the main goods traded between Iran and Tajikistan were petrochemical products, steel products, agricultural and food products, cotton, silk fabric, various equipment, etc.

Overall, the value of Iran's non-oil trade turnover was more than $43.5 billion within the first five months of the current Iranian year.
