BAKU, Azerbaijan, September 26. The phosphate concentrate production of Iran’s Esfordi Phosphate Industrial & Mineral Complex in Yazd Province increased by 50 percent during the first 5 months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through August 22, 2023), compared with the same time last year, Trend reports.
As indicated in the data of the Iranian Mines and Mining Industries Development and Renovation Organization (IMIDRO), the complex produced 40,156 tons of phosphate concentrate in 5 months.
Meanwhile, in the same period last Iranian year, the figure stood at 26,762 tons.
In the 5th month alone (July 23 through August 22, 2023), the Esfordi Phosphate Industrial & Mineral Complex produced 7,770 tons of phosphate concentrate, which is an increase of 43 percent compared to 5,431 tons in the same month last Iranian year.
Also, the complex extracted 140,898 tons of minerals in 5 months, which is an increase of 22 percent compared to 115,115 tons in the same period last year.
Moreover, the complex extracted 21,651 tons of minerals in the 5th month alone. This is an increase of 1 percent compared to 21,432 tons in the same month last year.
The Esfordi Industrial & Mineral Complex is one of the affiliated companies of the IMIDRO and is located 34 kilometers from Bafq County in Iran’s Yazd Province.
