By early July 14 micro-finance institutions operating in Azerbaijan allocated credits in the amount of 156,2 million USD to their customers, the Azerbaijan Micro-finance Association (AMA) told Trend. The volume of the total credit portfolio of these organizations exceeded 45,
5 million USD. These micro-finance institutions have about 54,400 active customers. The credits allocated cover approximately 250,000 population of the country. It is forecasted the volume of the credits to be allocated to customers will reach 200 million USD till the year-end. The micro-finance organizations issue credits to their customers from 50,000 to 125,000 USD.
РђРњРђ was established in December 2001with 8 organizations to be the founders. 15 members currently make up the organization. 14 from them are involved directly in micro-crediting.
