Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition 2006 is expected to bring together around 360 companies from 31 countries

The Caspian Oil and Gas Exhibition 2006 scheduled for 6-8 June in Baku is expected to bring together 360 companies from 31 countries around the world, Trend reports with reference to Azerbaijan Trade and Industry Chamber, co-organizer of the event.

The leading oil and gas companies of Azerbaijan, Bahrain, Ukraine, Russia, Georgia, Franc, Italy, Israel, Iran, Kazakhstan, Greece, Norway, USA and other countries will be represented at the exhibition.

The Azerbaijani government has already defined the official persons of these countries invited to participate at the exhibition. The Ministry of Energy and Natural Resources of Ukraine, Israel, as well as deputy ministers of Georgia and Kazakhstan have already confirmed for participating at the exhibition. Besides, the deputy oil minister of Iran is expected to attend the exhibition.

In addition, the heads of the leading oil companies will take part at the exhibition. In particular, the president of the Russian LUKOIL Vagif Alakbarov, the head of Norwegian Statoil are expected to arrive in Baku one of these days.

Within the exhibition, an international conference will be held. The conference will focus on the prospects of the expansion of cooperation in the sphere of exploitation of the Caspian energy resources.
