The National Bank of Azerbaijan (NBA) has confirmed the reduction of the face efficient rate of Manat toward the currencies of the foreign trade partners of Azerbaijan in August 2006 versus December 2005, Trend reports. According to NBA, the rate fell on 1.5 percent in
the general commercial intercourse, 0.8 percent in the import, 2.2 percent in the export. In comparison of the corresponding period of 2005, the face efficient rate went up on 2.3 percent in the general commercial intercourse, 2.5 per cent in the import, and 2.1 percent in the exporrt.
According to the NBA estimation, in the general commercial intercourse, the face efficient rate of Manat on the non-oil sector went up on 0.1 percent in August 2006 versus the end of the last, 0.5 percent in the export, with no changes in the import, i. e. on 0.2 percent. In comparison with the corresponding period of 2005, the rate increase on 4.2 percent, 4.1 percent, and 3.2 percent correspondingly.
In comparison with December 2006 in August 2006, the face efficient rate of Manat in the foreign trade (including the oil sector) decreased on 10.2 percent, 2.6 percent - in the import, 16.2 percent - in the export. In the non-oil sector, the face efficient rate of Manat increased on 3.1 percent, 10.8 percent, and 1.8 percent correspondingly.
