The Council of Directors of World Bank (WB) plans to consider the partnership strategy of the Bank with Azerbaijan (2006-2009) at the end of October. During the assessment of the document, its cost remained as previous - $1.2 billion, Trend reports with reference to the Head of WB Baku Office Gregory Yedjeychag.

Within the strategy, the bank intends to finance in two lines through the credits of International Development Association (IDA) and International Bank for Reconstruction and Development (IBRD). Within the first two years WB will continue to present privileged credits through IDA, but taking into consideration the economic development of Azerbaijan, the country will receive credits only through IBRD, the Country Manager stressed.

For 2007, the Bank has confirmed $79.4 million in privileged credits in line with IDA, and the remaining finances will be allocated through IBRD.
