Hyundai Veracruz to debut at Detroit Auto Show

(autoinsidernews)- Hyundai has said that it will stage the world premiere of its all-new Veracruz midsize crossover at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January. The Veracruz (spy shot shown) will be available with seven-passenger seating and will target the Honda Pilot, Toyota Highlander, and the new Ford Edge. The Veracruz will be Hyundai's ninth model and will slot in above the Santa Fe, reports Trend.

The Hyundai Veracruz will be powered by a 3.8L V6 mated to six-speed automatic transmission, and will be available in front-wheel or all-wheel drive. The Veracruz will feature electronic stability control and Hyundai's standard set of six airbags. Hyundai has promised official photos of the new Veracruz some time this month.
