Tanker Dede Gorgud Arrived in Baku

The oil tanker Dede Gorgud built on the Russian Shipbuilding Facilities Krasnoye Sormovo (Nizhniy Novgorod) by the order of Azerbaijan`s Caspian Shipping Company has arrived in Baku, the Caspian Shipping Company told Trend today. This is the fifth tanker of the Caspian Shipping Company with the deadweight of 13.000 tons. The vessel is built on the project of the oil tanker President Heydar Aliyev.

The fifth vessel of Project 19619 built by the Russian shipbuilding facilities within the contract signed with the Azerbaijani party in October 2002. The head vessel President Heydar Aliyev was delivered to the customer in September 2004, tanker Babek in November 2006, the third vessel Shakh Ismayil Khatai in October 2005, and the fourth one Keroglu in August 2006r. The fifth tanker Dede Gorgud was launched at the end of May 2006.

The tanker of this type is referred to the class river-sea and equipped with 12 load fuel tanks and one depositing one. It has a water ballast tanks in its inurned welts and double bottom. The length of the tanker is 152 meters, the width - 17.30 meters, the depth 10.5 meters, the draught of the vessel is 6.99 meters. Its speed at full load is 10 knots. The tanker`s dead weight of 13.000 tons is maximum for the vessel that can freely operate in the Caspian Sea without any reequipment of port terminals.

In August this year, the oil tanker Keroglu was put into commission. The cost of the tanker is $5.640 m
