Business Materials 26 October 2006 20:33 (UTC +04:00)

The State Statistics Committee is about to completely improve the system of national statistics counting till the end of 2006. The only shortcoming in this direction is the lack of financial counting, that is why, we are going start working on compiling this counting. It has to be implemented up to date, because of the system's complexity, Arif Valiyev, Chairman of the State Committee has said during the today's press-conference, Trend reports.

IMF (International Monetary Fund) is expected to render a technical aid to Azerbaijan for this purpose. Experts of the Fund are expected to arrive in Azerbaijan in November-December this year within the IMF quarterly missions.

In FSU (Former Soviet Union), only Russia is occupied with this issue. If Azerbaijan has it, then we will have the national counting fully compiled. We are going to base the results on the recommendations of the UN Statistics Department and the Russian experience, pointed out the Head of the Committee.
