Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The Azerbaijani Ministry of Labour and Social Protection of Population reported on 4 June that as a result of the labour fair held in the region of Nefchala 62 people were provided with job.
Thirty-one enterprises, as well as 15 private companies, offering 173 vacancies, attended the fair. Some 19 people were sent for introductory training and 9 people were attracted to public jobs.
As a result of five labour fairs, 519 people have gained employment. Some 61 people were sent for training and 55 people were employed in public jobs.
The number of company representatives at the fairs made up 258 and they offered 2,388 vacancies.
The next labour fair will be held in the region of Agstafa on 6 June, the region of Kakh on 7 June and the region of Salyan on 8 June.
During 2006 The Ministry of Labour held more than 40 labour fairs in different regions of Azerbaijan and in the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic of Azerbaijan.
As a result more than 7,800 people were provided with jobs.
