Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr U. Ismayilova / Experts predict that monthly salaries in Azerbaijan will increase within the next tree years by at least 25% each year, the head of the State Fund on Social Security of Azerbaijani Population, Salim Muslimov, stated.
Muslimov noted that the increase will mainly depend on the situation of the world oil market and the incomes of the public budget.
"According to international experts, a rapid drop in prices for oil is not expected to occur soon," he stressed.
The price of oil for 2007 in the Azerbaijani budget was fixed at $50 per barrel. Taking into consideration this price, it is possible to forecast an increase in real cash incomes of the population (salaries, labour pensions, hardship allowances).
Muslimov said that the decree on privatization of social facilities issued by Azerbaijani President last year was the basis of improvement within the social field. The list includes over 400 social facilities (education, health protection, culture facilities, as well as new polyclinics, kindergartens and cinemas).
According to Muslimov, privatization will profoundly decrease the loading on the State. The saved funds will be invested in other projects, financing of instructors and physicians will be increased.
