Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend E.Huseynli/ Airplanes used for the service Baku-Ganja-Baku will be implemented for the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku route, Maharram Safarli, an employee at Azerbaycan Hava Yollari (AZAL) state air company, said.
The Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku flight usually operates five days a week and the Baku-Ganja-Baku flight three times a week.
This decision was taken in connection to the current situation at Nakhchivan airport. Since the ends of last week there have been long queues for tickets which caused a shortage in flights to Baku.
"The Baku-Ganja-Baku flights will be restored after we resolve the problems with the Baku-Nakhchivan-Baku flight," he added.
Safarli noted that this situation occurred because of seasonal factors, when students and workers from Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic wish to return to Baku after summer holidays.
