Georgia, Tbilisi / corr Trend N.Kirtzkhalia / Azerbaijan and Georgia are likely to sign an agreement to increase gas deliveries at the end of September. The Georgian Government said on 17 September that the signing will be held on 27-28 September during a working visit of the Georgian Prime Minister Zurab Nogaideli to Baku.
" Georgia intends to cover the biggest part of its demand in gas through Azerbaijani gas supplies," the same source stressed.
Meanwhile, a source at the Azerbaijani Government asserts that export to Georgia might be increased to 8mln cu m a day from the current 2.5mln cu m.
During the visit Nogaideli plans to meet with the Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and the Prime Minister.
During the visit there are also plans to hold a Georgian-Azerbaijani business forum, which will focus on economic cooperation between the two countries.
