Azerbaijan, Baku / corr Trend S.Aliyev / State Statistics Committee officials reported that in January to August 2007 approximately 2.6mln tons of oil products were sold to the internal market of Azerbaijan. This is an increase of 2.9% compared to the same period of 2006.
Some 501,300 tons of the total volume of oil products was petrol, which is an increase of 13.8% from the previous year. The wholesale price of one ton of А-92 gasoline in the internal market (VAT and transportation costs inclusive) is AZN 670 and А-95 is AZN 736.
According to the State Statistics Committee, in January to August the Azerbaijani company Azpetrol obtained 274,200 tons of petrol and LUKoil 89,200 tons.
In January to August 2007 a total of 447,600 tons of diesel fuel was sold to the domestic market, 3.2% less than in 2006. The wholesale price of one ton of diesel fuel is 485 AZN (VAT inclusive).
Azpetrol received 172,300 tons of diesel fuel of the aforementioned amount (LUKoil - 47,800 tons). The Azerbaijani State Caspian Sea Shipping Company purchased 9,840 tons of diesel fuel, as well as almost the whole amount of motor fuel. Azpetrol received diesel fuel and LUKoil 47,800 tons, as well as almost entire volume of engine fuel.
Most of all of Mazut oil was sold in the internal market. From January-August, 1,254 tons of fuel oil was sold, which is 4.5% more than in the same period of 2006. The wholesale price of 1 ton of М-40 fuel oil in Azerbaijan is AZN 100 (including delivery and VAT). Azerenerji JSC received 965,800 tons of fuel oil and the Heydar Aliyev Oil Refinery Plant 191,900 tons for further refinery.
A total of 294,200 tons of aviation kerosene was sold, 13.9% less than in 2006. The price of aviation kerosene was AZN 307 per ton (including delivery and VAT).
The sale of petroleum bitumen totaled 93,200 tons, an increase of 6% from 2006. The wholesale price of 1 ton of bitumen BN 60/90 (VAT and transportation costs inclusive) was AZN 160.
