Iran to import petrol from Venezuela
Azerbaijan, Baku, Sept.7. / Trend /
The production capacity for oil refining is developing fast in Iran and there is no reason for any worry associated with gasoline, the new Iranian Oil Minister, Masoud Mirkazimi, said. If sanctions are imposed on Iran's petrol imports, we will continue to supply it from Venezuela, Mehr news agency reported.
"Tehran and Caracas have signed a contract on petrol supply from South America. According to the contract, should sanctions be imposed on Iran's petrol imports, Venezuela will meet the Islamic Republic's petrol needs," Mirikazimi added.
Iran and Venezuela, the Minister said, signed an agreement developing cooperation in the oil industry. "From October, Venezuela will export 20,000 barrels of oil per day," Iran's oil minister said.
