Azerbaijan imported more than 134,700 tons of different metallic pipes in January-November, being less by 32.5 percent compared to the same period of 2008 to operate onshore and offshore.
Pipes worth $227.3 million or 14.4 percent less than the same period of 2008 were imported, the Azerbaijani state statistical committee said.
SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) holds onshore and offshore oil and gas operations in the country. The company operates on oil and gas fields of Azerbaijan, both independently and jointly with foreign companies.
Azerbaijan has 57 oil and gas fields and 18 of them are offshore.
