Kazakhstan increases gas exports in January-June

The volume of gas exports in Kazakhstan in January-June 2011 amounted to 6.645 billion cubic meters compared to 5.517 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2010, a source at the national dispatching department of the Statistics Agency of Kazakhstan told Trend.

In June 2011, gas exports in the country amounted to 1.151 billion cubic meters compared to 942 million cubic meters in June last year. Thus, in June 2011, exports of gas in the country amounted to 34.6 percent under production of 3.324.1 billion cubic meters.

Gas consumption in the country in January-June 2011 amounted to 6.125 billion cubic meters compared to 5.530 billion cubic meters during the same period of 2010.

In June 2011, gas consumption in the country amounted to 458.3 million cubic meters, or 8.1 percent less than the last month and 3.5 percent less compared to June 2010.

Imports of gas in the country in January-June 2011 amounted to 3.054 billion cubic meters compared to 2.654 billion during the same period of 2010. In June 2011, imports of natural gas in the country amounted to 210.1 million cubic meters, which is 9.4 percent less than last month and 3.6 percent more than May 2010.
