Uzbekistan increases gas export by 86.27 percent in 2010

Export of natural gas in Uzbekistan increased by 86.27 percent and amounted to 21.98 billion cubic meters in 2010 compared to 11.8 billion cubic meters in 2009. These data are contained in an annual statistical report of OPEC, posted on the Cartel's official website.

Export of natural gas in Uzbekistan increased by 86.27 percent and amounted to 21.98 billion cubic meters in 2010 compared to 11.8 billion cubic meters in 2009. These data are contained in an annual statistical report of OPEC, posted on the Cartel's official website.

Gas production volume in the country, according to the Cartel, decreased by 2.1 percent and amounted to 60.96 billion cubic meters last year.

According to OPEC, proven gas reserves in Uzbekistan hit 1.682 trillion cubic meters as of late 2010, which is 3.6 percent less than estimates in 2009.

According to OPEC, proven oil reserves in Uzbekistan are estimated at 594 million barrels as of late 2010.
