SOCAR commissions new filling station in Ukraine (PHOTO)

The State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) has today commissioned a new filling station complex in the Lviv region of Ukraine, SOCAR said on Saturday.

SOCAR President Rovnag Abdullayev, representatives of the company's management and head of the company's Ukrainian representative office Elchin Mammadov attended the opening ceremony.

SOCAR plans to increase the number of filling stations in Ukraine up to 40. At present, their number is 15.

SOCAR is the only producer of oil products in the country having two refineries and also owns petrol stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia and Ukraine. It is also a co-owner of the largest Turkish petrochemical complex Petkim. The company trades in oil throughout the world under the SOCAR Trading subsiduary.

SOCAR also includes the Azneft production association (the companies producing oil and gas onshore and offshore), Azerkimya industrial association (chemical enterprises) and Azerigaz industrial association (gas distribution).
