Work in a gas compressor station in the Azerbaijani offshore field of Oil Rocks, has been fully restored after a fire which occurred there earlier, SOCAR told Trend on Monday. This field is part of SOCAR's portfolio.
According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations, a message posted on the official website sated that a compressor system has been distorted as a result of the fire. One person was injured. The remaining three units were protected from the fire by a number of fire brigades.
According to the preliminary version, the cause of the fire was a failure in the technological process. The fire was extinguished at 03:20 today. "The station restored its activity at 11:00 today," a SOCAR spokesperson said.
SOCAR said that an employee was slightly injured as a result of the fire and had been treated.
