Iraq has increased the price of oil to be delivered in June this year to the U.S. and to Asian countries, a statement of the State Oil Company of Iraq Somo Oil published on Friday on its website said.
According to the statement, the prices were increased for light crude oil from Basra. The price of oil for the United States has increased by 20 cents to $1.90 per barrel. In addition, the price was increased by 15 cents on oil supplied to the countries of Asia.
Earlier, the official representative of the Iraqi Oil Ministry reported to Trend that Iraq has increased its oil exports to 78 million barrels in April 2013, compared to 74.9 million in March.
Average oil production in Iraq in April 2013 stood at 3.1 million barrels per day versus 3.2 million barrels per day in March.
Earlier, Jihad informed Trend that Iraq has increased the country's oil reserves by 10 billion barrels through international tenders held for the exploration and development of new hydrocarbon deposits.
