SOCAR to increase number of LNG-filling stations in Georgia

SOCAR (State Oil Company of Azerbaijan) plans to commission 15-20 more filling stations on the territory of Georgia, SOCAR told Trend Aug. 28.

At present, the total number of SOCAR filling stations in Georgia is 114 (some of which - supply gasoline and diesel, as well as LNG), and about 20 are LNG-filling stations only, according to the statement.

"Currently, there are plans to increase the number of LNG- filling stations," the representative said. "In general, the matter rests in about 15-20 LNG- filling stations."

SOCAR is the only oil producer in Azerbaijan (it has two refineries on its balance), and also owns petrol stations in Azerbaijan, Georgia, Ukraine, Romania and Switzerland.
