Azerbaijan’s power plants generated 19.023 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity in January-October 2018, that is 1.4 percent less than in the same period of 2017, says a report of the State Statistics Committee.
The report says that 18.29 billion kilowatt hours of the total electricity generated in January-October 2018 accounted for commercial electricity, which is 1.9 percent more than in January-October 2017.
Thermal power plants generated 16.69 billion kilowatt hours of total commercial electricity in January-October 2018, that is 1.4 percent more than in January-October 2017.
Azerbaijan’s hydro-power plants generated 1.53 billion kilowatt hours of commercial electricity in January-October 2018, that is 0.1 percent less than in January-October 2017.
Wind farms produced 42,500 kilowatt hours of electricity, while solar power plants generated 35,100 kilowatt hours of electricity in the period.
