The third offshore platform has been installed successfully at phase 14 of the South Pars Gas field, said the director of the phase 14 development plan Mohamad Mehdi Tavasolipour.
South Pars is a joint gas field, shared by Iran and Qatar.
"The deck on the platform has been constructed and installed by Iran Shipbuilding and Offshore Industries Complex Company, to extract 14.2 million cubic meters of gas per day from South Pars joint Gas Field," said Tavasolipour, Trend reports citing ILNA.
The 14B platform has been installed in the Persian Gulf waters as the first stage of South Pars phase 14 development plan.
The operation of 14B platform would produces sweet gas, 20,000 barrels of gas condensates, 100 tons of sulfur per day alongside 250,000 tons of gas condensate and 250,000 tons of ethane per year.
"The gas production capacity in the offshore sector of South Pars phase 14 would reach 42 million cubic meters gas per day," he noted.
