Exports of oil and non-oil products through the Shahid Rajaee port in Iran’s southern Hormozgan Province increased during the 3 months (March 21-June 21) of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2019) by 3 and 10 percent respectively, Allahmorad Afifipour, Director of the Ports and Maritime Department in Hormozgan Province, told journalists, Trend reports referring to IRNA.
According to Afifipour, 9,78 million tons of non-oil and 2.2 million tons of oil products were exported within 3 months.
He added that a total of 19.9 million tons of oil and non-oil products were loaded and unloaded in the port during this period.
"Some 13.5 million tons of non-oil products and 6.45 million tons of oil products were loaded and unloaded," he said.
Afifipour said that 798,000 tons of non-oil products were transshipped, 752,000 tons were transited, and 1.88 million tons were imported.
He also said that 4.23 million tons of oil products were transported via cabotage.
He noted that more than 882,000 tons and less than 165,000 tons of cargo moved in the Shahid Rajaee port during the aforementioned period.
