Export of oil products from Iran’s Shahid Rajaee Port grows

During the five months of this Iranian year (started March 21, 2019), exports of oil products from Iran’s Shahid Rajaee Port in the Hormozgan province increased by 11.3 percent compared to the same period last year, said Allah-Morad Afifipour, managing director of the Shahid Rajaee Port Special Economic Zone, Trend reports referring to the Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization’s website.

He said that 3.72 million tons of oil products were exported during this period.

He added that 7 million tons (a 7.3 percent increase) of oil products accounted for cabotage and 33,800 tons (a 56.5 percent increase) were transited.

“A total of 34.2 million tons of goods have been loaded and unloaded at the port of for the five months, which is a 7 percent increase,” he said.

He added that 16.6 million tons of non-oil products were exported from the port during the reporting period. This indicates a 15 percent increase, he noted.
