Turkmenistan's Turkmennebitgas management of Turkmennebit State Concern has increased the scale of geophysical research around the country, Trend reports with reference to Online Newspaper of the Oil and Gas Complex of Turkmenistan.
For the first five months of 2020, the completed work worth 27.548 million of Turkmen manats (over $7.8 million) was carried out - which exceeded last year's figure by 24.6 percent.
The reason for the increase - modernization of all types of existing equipment and vehicles, including mobile laboratories, characterized by increased maneuverability.
Turkmenistan’s Turkmennebit State Concern and Russia's Tatneft Company have previously discussed geological work carried out at the wells of the oil fields of the Turkmennebit State Concern.
The parties have agreed to expand drilling at some oil fields.
Furthermore, a memorandum of understanding was signed between the Turkmennebit State Concern and the Tatneft company last year.
The signed document allows expanding cooperation between companies in the use of effective Tatneft technologies at Turkmennebit fields.
