It is planned to fulfill major tasks as part of modernization of Baku Refinery named after Heydar Aliyev be the end of 2020, Ibrahim Ahmadov, deputy head of the public relations and events department at Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR, told Trend.
He noted that those tasks are as follows:
- To approve the renewed work schedule with the major contractors and set the dates for commissioning diesel and gasoline units;
- To decide on contractors to construct new critical units for the upgraded configuration;
- To decide on the mechanism of future cooperation with the main contractor for restoration and modernization of the existing units and to work out the Action Plan to accelerate the works;
- To take a set of measures to ensure minimum losses of man-hours in construction, in the light of the second wave of the global pandemic and the restrictions caused by it;
- To continue measures to optimize the use of the budgeted funds
