Kazakhstan boosts petroleum oil exports to Germany despite COVID-19

Kazakhstan has exported 678,383 tons of crude petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 184.9 million euros to Germany in November 2020, a Eurostat official told Trend.

In turn, Kazakhstan exported 6.6 million tons of petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals worth 2.02 billion euros to Germany over the period from Jan. through Nov. 2020.

Thus, the November volume of petroleum oil and oil obtained from bituminous minerals from Kazakhstan to Germany is 14.8 percent more compared to October 2020 (590,420 tons) and is 13.8 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (787,187 tons).

November exports are also 19.1 percent more than October 2020 (155.1 million euros) and are 95.2 percent less than in Jan. 2020 (391.1 million euros).

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Germany amounted to $1.8 billion over the first 11 months of 2020, compared to $1.6 billion during the same period of 2019.

Kazakhstan’s export to Germany amounted to $223.1 million over the period from January through Nov. 2020, compared to $270.5 million during the same period of 2019.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Germany amounted to nearly $1.5 billion over the reporting period, compared to $1.3 billion during the same period of 2019.
