The renewable energy power plants in Iran generated about 180 million kilowatt-hours of electricity in the 4th month of the current Iranian year (June 22 through July 22, 2021), Trend reports citing the statistics of the Iranian Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Organization.
"As a result of the operation of these power plants in Iran for 4th month, 51 million cubic meters of gas were saved in the consumption of fossil fuels," the statistics said.
In addition, 40 million liters of water were saved in Iran as a result of the operation of the renewable energy power plants within the fourth month, the statistics said.
According to the statistics, with the operation of these power plants in Iran, the spread of 116,000 tons of CO2 gas was prevented within the mentioned month.
"Over the 4th month, the solar panel stations generated 455 megawatt-hours of electricity, wind turbines – 309 megawatt-hours, small hydropower plants – 104 megawatt-hours, waste heat recovery stations – 4 megawatt-hours, biomass stations – 10.5 megawatt-hours and turbo-expander – 19.2 megawatt-hours. And these stations accounted for 50.4, 34.3, 11.6, 0.44, 1.17, 2.13 percent of the total generation volume, respectively," the statistics said.
