By Elnur Baghishov – Trend:
Daily 10 million cubic meters gas has been pumped into the Shourijeh D gas storage facility in the Razavi Khorasan Province (north-eastern Iran) from the beginning of the current Iranian year (March 21, 2021) to August 2, said Ahmad Rajabi, the technical affairs director of the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC), Trend reports citing the company’s website.
Thus, the volume of gas in this storage facility has exceeded 1 billion cubic meters, according to Rajabi.
The director added that given that 1.86 billion cubic meters of gas was pumped into the storage facility over the last Iranian year (from March 20, 2020 through March 20, 2021) due to gas supplies to the northern and north-eastern provinces of Iran, this figure is estimated to increase in this year.
“According to the plan of the National Iranian Gas Company (NIGC), the volume of gas to be pumped into the storage facility by November 6, 2021 will be about 2 billion cubic meters. Also, an average of 15 million cubic meters of gas will be taken per day during the last four months of the current Iranian year (from November 22, 2021 through March 20, 2022),” he noted.
As reported, the Iranian Central Oil Fields Company (ICOFC) has 84 oil and gas fields in 11 provinces of Iran. So far, 13 gas fields and 13 oil fields have been developed.
The ICOFC extracted a total of 63 million barrels of crude oil and gas condensate and 70 billion cubic meters of gas in the last Iranian year.
