SOCAR Turkey has taken an important step in digital transformation by launching the e-signature application, which allows to avoid printing, document sending, wet signature and archiving in business processes, Trend reports with reference to Turkish media.
The application, which aims to save 500,000 pieces of paper and 300,000 Turkish liras ($35,800) per year, will be used by 5,000 employees. With the application that will cover all cluster companies, internal correspondence, approval processes, sending and receiving documents to public and private institutions have started to be carried out via digital platforms in SOCAR Turkey.
The e-signature began to be used in contracts, progress payments, bank instructions, field forms, work permits, administrative work procurement and human resources services. The application reduces contract processes from an average of 21 days in SOCAR Turkey to 3 days, processes that previously took 5 working days for outgoing documents are now finalized in 2 days.
The projects implemented by SOCAR Turkey in the sphere of digitalization have ensured efficiency and improvement in operations, purchasing and financial status of the company. The digitalization projects have made a financial contribution of $43 million since 2018.
