BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 1. Turkey has imported a total of 585,644 tons of crude oil from Kazakhstan in March 2022, which accounted for 15.16 percent of total Turkey’s crude oil imports for the month, Trend reports citing Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EPDK).

Thus, Turkey’s import of Kazakh crude oil increased by 19.7 percent compared to February 2022 (488,968 tons) and went up by 64.6 percent compared to the volume imported in March 2021 (434,958 tons).

Turkey’s import of crude oil from Kazakhstan from January through March 2022 amounted to 1.5 million tons.

The value of trade turnover between Kazakhstan and Turkey amounted to $1.4 billion over the period from January through March 2022, compared to $803.05 million during the same months of 2021.

Kazakhstan’s exports to Turkey amounted to $1.2 billion over the period from January through March 2022, compared to $545.2 million during the same period of 2021.

In turn, Kazakhstan’s imports from Turkey amounted to nearly $236.5 million over the reporting period, compared to $257.8 million during the same period of 2021.
