BAKU, Azerbaijan, June 9. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) increased by 1.4 percent, in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year (April 21 through May 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).

According to the statistics, more than 346,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, about 192,000 tons were loaded and 154,000 tons were unloaded.

During the 2nd month, 187,000 tons of cargo were exported and 72,500 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.

In addition, 476 tons of cargo were loaded and 178 tons were unloaded in the port for transit, as well as 893 tons of cargo were loaded and 81,600 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 2nd month.

Also, 3,400 tons of cargo were loaded in the port for other purposes.

According to the statistics, 38,000 tons of essential products, 1 ton of metal products, about 144,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 4,440 tons of equipment, vehicles and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year.

Moreover, 5,010 tons of chemicals, 1,360 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 197 tons of small and assorted goods, 34,000 tons of container products, and 119,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.

In general, more than 12.6 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 2nd month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 5.47 million tons were loaded and 7.12 million tons were unloaded. This is an increase of 17.5 percent, compared to the same month last Iranian year.
