BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 20. Kazakhstan will attract private investments of independent gas distribution organizations to the gasification process, Trend reports with reference to the approved Integrated Plan for the development of the gas industry of Kazakhstan for 2022-2026.
National operator QazaqGaz, within the framework of the plan, under the conditions of a shortage of commodity gas resources and unprofitability of prices on the domestic market initiated a set of proposals in the Law of Kazakhstan ‘On Gas and Gas Supply’ for social and fair pricing reform, including expanding the range of categories of consumers willing to purchase commercial gas at market prices.
The company aims to increase the level of gasification to 65 percent by 2030 and to achieve break-even in the area of domestic market development.
