BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 23. Kazakhstan is conducting activities on expanding the resource base of its oil and gas industry, through new exploration and production projects, Chairman of the Board of “QazaqGaz” JSC Sanzhar Zharkeshov said at the meeting with President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, Trend reports citing the president's Press Office.
Zharkeshov noted that the urgent measures taken by the national company helped avoiding a commercial gas shortage in the domestic market.
According to him, local customer needs are now fully satisfied.
“QazaqGaz” JSC has started constructing a Kashagan gas processing plant with a capacity of one billion cubic meters.
The master plan for the gas industry development from 2022 through 2026 was also approved.
