BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 29. The National Iranian South Oil Company (NISOC) has started production from well No. 27 of its Ramshir oil field in Khuzestan Province (south-western Iran), on August 29, 2022, Trend reports citing Iran’s Oil Industry Construction and Engineering Company (OIEC).
As of today, about 2,000 barrels of crude oil per day is produced from the mentioned well.
The well was developed within the framework of the plan to maintain and increase production from 28 reservoirs of the Iran's NISOC.
Iran's Ramshir oil field is located 145 km south-east of Ahvaz city in Khuzestan Province. About 40,000 barrels of crude oil are reportedly produced daily from this field.
The development of Ramshir oil field has been entrusted to the Oil Industry Construction and Engineering Company (OIEC). If the field is fully developed, 55,000 barrels of crude oil and 70 million cubic feet (about 2 million cubic meters) of gas could be produced daily.
