TAP acts as the European section of the Southern Gas Corridor, facilitating the annual transportation of approximately 10 billion cubic meters of gas to various European markets. With the ability to expand its capacity to 20 billion cubic meters per year, the pipeline holds both strategic and economic importance. It offers Europe reliable access to a new natural gas source, contributing to energy security, supply diversification, and the pursuit of decarbonization objectives.
