ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, July 20. Afghan companies purchased Turkmen diesel fuel through the State Commodity Exchange of Turkmenistan, Trend reports.
According to official data, companies from Afghanistan purchased 2,500 tons of diesel fuel on the exchange. The total amount of transactions amounted to $1.4 million.
This diesel fuel was produced at the enterprise of the Turkmennebit State Concern.
At the same time, according to the exchange, businessmen from Kyrgyzstan and China purchased 837,000 square meters of various types of fabrics for a total amount of $337,700.
Diesel fuel production in Turkmenistan is an important sector not only for national energy security, but also for the economic development of the country. Rich oil reserves and modern refineries allow the country to produce high-quality diesel fuel, which is in demand on the international market.
The State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan was established on July 29, 1994. It is the most important body of state regulation of export-import operations.
