BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 16. Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli (ACG) and Shah Deniz fields offshore Azerbaijan have produced 623.9 million tons of oil and condensate since the start of development until October 1, 2023, Trend reports with reference to the country’s energy ministry.
ACG yielded 580.4 million tons of oil, while Shah Deniz produced around 43.5 million tons of condensate. About 622 million tons of the abovementioned volume was exported as of October 1, 2023.
Oil refining in Azerbaijan from January through September 2023 stood at 4.9 million tons.
Azerbaijan's oil and condensate production in the first nine months of 2023 amounted to 22.7 million tons, showing a decrease of nearly 7.4 percent compared to the same period in 2022.
Notably, Azeri-Chirag-Gunashli produced 13.5 million tons of oil, while Shah Deniz and Absheron yielded 3.3 million tons and 140,000 tons of condensate, respectively.
