BAKU, Azerbaijan, November 4. The State Oil Fund of Azerbaijan (SOFAZ) has reported a modest year-on-year decrease in its revenue from the sale of gas and condensate from the Shah Deniz field during the first ten months of 2023, Trend reports.
The income reached $1.183 billion, in contrast to $1.209 billion for the same period in 2022, marking a 2.2 percent decline in field revenue.
SOFAZ further revealed that it received $259.554 million from the sale of Shah Deniz condensate, compared to $328.567 million in the first ten months of the preceding year, representing a 21 percent reduction.
Data from bp indicates that the field produced approximately 20 billion standard cubic meters of gas and over 3 million tonnes (approximately 27 million barrels) of condensate from the Shah Deniz Alpha and Shah Deniz Bravo platforms in the first nine months of the year.
The existing Shah Deniz facilities boast a current production capacity of approximately 72.1 million standard cubic meters of gas per day or roughly 26.3 billion standard cubic meters per year.
